Short analysis of the poem “Cherry Tree” by Alexander Pushkin

“Cherry Tree” by Alexander Pushkin is a sentimental story about two lovers written when Pushkin was about 16 years old around 1815.

The poem “Cherry Tree” begins with a charming description of the landscape. Its plot is very simple: “Young shepherdesses rush to the shepherds.” Then the main character appears, a seductive shepherdess with an outfit hiding all her charms. But the heroin, tempted by ripe cherries, climbs a tree. The branch breaks and she fall with a handful of cherries. In her fall her dress pulled up. A young shepherd came to help her but also “pressed her passionate breast” and it seems that they lost their heads “All the blood boiled In two fiery hearts Love has flown” but Pushkin added that the matrimonial crown awaited the lovers.

Ruddy dawn
Covered the east
In a village across the river
The light went out.
Sprinkled with dew
Flowers in the fields
The herds have awakened
In soft meadows.
The gray mists
Float towards the clouds
Young shepherdesses
Rush to the shepherds.
The Source runs with a murmur between the mountains
Golden in the distance
In the dark blue forest.
The young shepherdess
Rushes to the market
And far away, singing,
Looks diligently.
Blush plays
On her plump cheeks
Innocence shines
In her timid eyes.
A skillful hand
Коса убрана, has made the braid
And the leg itself

Corset covered
All the beauty of breasts
Hidden under an apron
Baiting people.
The shepherdess comes
In a thick cherry garden
She finds a lot
Плодов пред собой.of fruits in front of her.
Even though they look great
Beauty beckons,
But the path to them is dangerous –
The poor thing is scared.
After thinking, she decided
To eat these cherries
She grabbed a branch
Climbed up the tree.

Her awards
And timidly steps
Between branches.
Take the fruit with your hand –
And the cherry will be yours
But, ah! what’s wrong with you
My shepherdess?
She saw in the distance –
Спешит пастушок;The shepherd who hurries;
Her leg weakened,
Her shoe slipped.
And the branch cracked –
Trouble, death threatens!
The shepherdess fell
But, oh my, what a view!
The branch refracted
За платье задел;touched the dress;
The surprised Shepherd
Saw all the beauty.
Among two lovely
Feet whiter than snow,
On the folds of wonderful
The shepherd could see
What is hidden until the time
All the lovely ladies have

And his chest is passionately

The joy of suffering
Of two young hearts
Waiting for love
Spouses crown.
Seduced by beauty
A young shepherd
With a hot hand
Touched up to the feet.
And instantly froze
Амур в их ногах;Cupid at their feet;
The shepherd found himself
On her full breasts.
And cherry blush
Crushed into juice
And crimson juice
Sprinkled the grass.
