Я встретил вас, и все былое Федора Тютчева	I met you – and all of the past

Я встретил вас — и все былое	I met you – and all of the past
В отжившем сердце ожило;	In an obsolete heart came to life;
Я вспомнил время золотое —	I remembered the golden time –
И сердцу стало так тепло…	And my heart felt so warm…

Как поздней осени порою	Like in the late autumn sometimes
Бывают дни, бывает час, (There are days, there is an hour,)	There are days, there are times,
Когда повеет вдруг весною	When suddenly it feels like spring
И что-то встрепенется в нас,-	And something will stir within us, –

Так, весь обвеян дуновеньем	Thus, everything is enveloped by the breath
Тех лет душевной полноты,	Of those years of spiritual fullness,
С давно забытым упоеньем	With a long-forgotten rapture
Смотрю на милые черты…	I look at the lovely features …

Как после вековой разлуки,	Like after a century of separation,
Гляжу на вас, как бы во сне,-	I look at you, as if in a dream, –
И вот — слышнее стали звуки,	And now the sounds have become louder
Не умолкавшие во мне…	Those that never fell silent within me…

Тут не одно воспоминанье,	There is more than one memory here,
Тут жизнь заговорила вновь,-	Here life spoke again, –
И то же в вас очарованье,	And the same charm is in you,
И та ж в душе моей любовь!..	And the same love is in my soul!..
