Не обвиняй меня, Всесильный,	Do not blame me Lord
И не карай меня, молю,	And do not punish me, please
За то, что мрак земли могильный	For the fact that the darkness of the earth is grave
С ее страстями я люблю;	With its passions I love it;
За то, что редко в душу входит	For something that rarely enters the soul
Живых речей твоих струя,	Your living speeches stream,
За то, что в заблужденье бродит	So that in error
Мой ум далеко от тебя;	My mind wanders far from you;
За то, что лава вдохновенья	Because the lava of inspiration
Клокочет на груди моей;	Bubbles on my chest;
За то, что дикие волненья	Because wild excitement
