Short analysis of the poem “Tempest” by Alexander Pushkin

The poem “Tempest” was created in Mikhailovskoye, but based on the romantic style of the work, it is possible that the author made the sketches for it during his southern exile.

“Tempest” was written with the help of opposition technique, the raging elements and tenderness of a maiden standing on a rock.

The answer to the mystery of the maiden presence on a rock can be found in the ancient Greek Myth of Perseus and Andromeda.

Tempest by Alexander Pushkin
Translated by Akirill.com
Did you see the maiden on the rock
In white clothes above the waves
When, raging in a stormy haze,
The sea played with the shores
When a ray of lightning illuminated
Her scarlet brilliance
And the wind beat and flew
With her flying veil?
Beautiful sea in stormy haze
И небо в блесках без лазури;And the sky shone without azure;
But trust me: the maiden on the rock
Was more beautiful than waves, skies and storms.
