Summer for thee grant I may be

   When summer days are flown!

Thy music still when whippoorwill

   And oriole are done!


For thee to bloom, I’ll skip the tomb

   And sow my blossoms o’er!

Pray gather me, Anemone,

   Thy flower forevermore!
