Lost Joy

I had a daily bliss

   I half indifferent viewed,

Till sudden I perceived it stir, —

   It grew as I pursued,

Till when, around a crag,

   It wasted from my sight,

Enlarged beyond my utmost scope,

   I learned its sweetness right.
