Dear readers and subscribers, this week I dedicated my time and efforts to exploring and celebrating the beauty of American, French, and Russian poetry. In particular, I delved into the works of American poet Edgard A. Guest, Russian poet Anna Akhmatova, and French poet Paul Verlaine. I curated and added a selection of poems in each of these languages, aiming to provide a diverse and enriching experience for poetry enthusiasts like yourselves. The collection includes a selection of insightful and thought-provoking pieces that I believe capture the essence and allure of each poetic tradition. Whether you find solace in the heartfelt verses of Guest, the profound reflections of Akhmatova, or the evocative expressions of Verlaine’s ‘Amour,’ I trust that you will find something to resonate with and cherish. Thank you for joining me on this poetic journey, and I hope you’ll find abundant enjoyment and inspiration in the verses that await you.

Let’s begin by Edgard A. Guest, our American poet,

We will continue with our French poet, Paul Verlaine where I added the collection “Amour“. Following are a few of the poems randomly chosen:

We’ll finish with our Russian poet Anna Akhmatova (Анна Ахматова)

This week for Valentine’s day our article was a translation of the poem “I met you – and all of the past” by Fyodor Tyutchev translated in English
