Poems and painting, Week of August 31, 2025

Bilingual BooksLire en FrançaisContact us

Dear readers and subscribers, I’m absolutely delighted to share that this week I joyfully explored the enchanting worlds of American, French and Russian poetry, happily incorporating stunning poems in all three languages that beautifully capture the essence of their respective cultures. Each poem I encountered seemed to weave its own unique narrative, inviting readers on a journey of emotions and reflections that resonated deeply within me. Furthermore, our wonderful series on the incredibly talented Russian artist Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin continues to shine, celebrating his breathtaking masterpiece Windmill in the field that transports observers to a serene landscape. The play of light in his paintings evokes a sense of tranquility and nostalgia, reminding us of the beauty found in the simplicity of nature. I believe there’s something delightful for everyone to enjoy, whether it be through the rhythm of the words in the poems or the soul-stirring visuals of Shishkin’s artwork, inviting us all to delve into these artistic treasures.
