Chers lecteurs et abonnés, cette semaine, je me suis consacrée à explorer la poésie américaine, française et russe, enrichissant notre collection de beaux poèmes dans ces trois langues. J’ai également eu le plaisir de me plonger dans l’œuvre renommée de William Bradford, “Port de New Bedford au coucher du soleil“, qui a obtenu une place précieuse dans la prestigieuse exposition d’art de New Bedford d’Albert Bierstadt, assurant ainsi son héritage durable dans les annales de l’art.

William Bradford (1823 – 1892) est une figure influente de l’histoire de l’art américain, captivant les publics avec ses représentations romantiques de navires et de paysages marins de l’Arctique. Sa représentation magistrale du grand nord l’a distingué comme l’un des premiers peintres américains à s’aventurer dans ces territoires inexplorés. Quand Pacha a commencé à manger dans le bol, Teash a fait de même et est maintenant capable d’avaler et de boire un peu !

Our young crow and raven are happily keeping each other company and showing great progress, even though they both rely on me for their food and water. When Pacha started eating from the bowl, Teash followed suit and is now able to swallow and drink a bit. !

Chers lecteurs et abonnés, Cette semaine a été incroyablement revigorante alors que je plongeais profondément dans les domaines de la poésie américaine, française et russe. La riche tapisserie d’émotions et d’expériences tissée dans les vers m’a captivé, et c’est un vrai plaisir d’explorer et de partager ce voyage poétique avec vous.

Notre bébé corneille continue de grandir et de maîtriser l’art du vol, et elle aime maintenant se percher sur le dossier de ma chaise en attendant avec impatience ma compagnie. Elle joue aussi plus, ici elle essaie de récupérer l’anneau blanc après l’avoir enlevé de l’autre perchoir. J’en ai eu marre de le ramasser, alors je l’ai attaché. …

Cette semaine, nous avons également découvert le remarquable Claude Monet et sa peinture fascinante de 1961 “Un coin d’atelier.” Je vous invite chaleureusement à vous joindre à moi pour explorer la beauté captivante de cette œuvre d’art et poursuivre notre voyage commun à la recherche de la joie dans les arts. Je suis ravie de partager avec vous que cette semaine a été un voyage exaltant alors que je me plongeais profondément dans les realms captivants de la poésie américaine, française et russe, découvrant des interconnexions fascinantes parmi nos diverses tapisseries culturelles. Aujourd’hui, j’ai ajouté la peinture envoûtante “Au crépuscule” du vénéré artiste français Paul Émile Chabas. Cette addition a été inspirée par le poème profond “В сумерках“ (Au crépuscule) écrit par la talentueuse Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva. Ce poème émouvant capture magnifiquement l’essence de la peinture abritée au Musée du Luxembourg.

Paul Émile Chabas (1869 – 1937) est un célèbre peintre français, renommé pour ses magnifiques représentations de jeunes femmes nues dans des décors naturels sereins. Considéré comme l’un des principaux peintres européens de nus, Chabas a fait ses débuts au Salon en 1890, obtenant la reconnaissance en remportant le Prix National au Salon de Paris de 1899 avec son oeuvre magistrale et envoûtante, “Joyeux Ébats”. Notamment, il a reçu une médaille d’or à l’Exposition Universelle de 1900 et a été décoré de la prestigieuse Médaille d’honneur en 1912. Cependant, c’est sa peinture emblématique, “Matinée de Septembre” (September Morn) de 1912, qui a déclenché un “succès de scandale” aux États-Unis en mai 1913.

Dear readers and subscribers, I am thrilled to share that this week has been an exhilarating journey as I delved deeply into the captivating realms of American, French, and Russian poetry, discovering fascinating interconnections among our diverse cultural tapestries. Today, I added the mesmerizing painting “Au crépuscule” by the esteemed French artist Paul Émile Chabas. This addition was inspired by the profound poem В сумерках (At Twilight) penned by the talented Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva. This soul-stirring poem beautifully captures the essence of the painting housed in the Luxembourg Museum.

Paul Émile Chabas (1869 – 1937) stands as a celebrated French painter, renowned for his exquisite depictions of nude young women in serene natural settings. Regarded as one of Europe’s foremost painters of nudes, Chabas made his debut at the Salon in 1890, achieving acclaim by clinching the Prix National at the 1899 Paris Salon with his mesmerizing masterpiece, “Joyeux Ébats.” Notably, he was bestowed with a gold medal at the Exposition Universelle of 1900 and received the prestigious Médaille d’honneur in 1912. However, it was his iconic painting, “Matinée de Septembre” (September Morn) from 1912, that ignited a “succès de scandale” in the United States in May 1913.

Chers lecteurs et abonnés, je suis ravie de vous présenter 3 nouveaux poètes cette semaine. Rejoignez-moi pour accueillir le poète français Louis Aragon, le poète américain Clark Ashton Smith, et le poète russe Alexandre Sergueïevitch Griboïedov, accompagnés d’une sélection de nouveaux poèmes captivants sur nos pages de poésie américaine, poésie française, et poésie russe.

Clark Ashton Smith (1893-1961) demeure un écrivain et artiste américain influent. Il a été reconnu localement dès le début, avec le soutien et l’enthousiasme de George Sterling. En tant que poète, Smith est célébré comme “Le dernier des grands romantiques” et “Le barde d’Auburn”. Son travail a reçu de vives louanges de la part de ses contemporains.

Louis Aragon (1897-1982) demeure un poète français célébré, largement reconnu comme une figure majeure du mouvement surréaliste en France. Aux côtés d’André Breton et Philippe Soupault, il a co-fondé la célèbre revue surréaliste Littérature. Notablement, il était également connu pour ses contributions en tant que romancier et éditeur, et à partir de 1959, il était régulièrement considéré pour le prix Nobel de littérature.

Alexandre Sergueïevitch Griboïedov (1795–1829) a laissé un héritage durable à travers sa comédie intemporelle “Le malheur de l’esprit”. Ses contributions remarquables en tant que figure influente et penseur visionnaire ont grandement façonné le cours de l’avancement culturel russe.

Dear readers and subscribers, I am thrilled to introduce 3 new poets this week. Join me in welcoming the French poet Louis Aragon, the American poet Clark Ashton Smith, and the Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Griboyedov, along with an array of captivating new poems on our American, French, and Russian poetry pages.

Clark Ashton Smith (1893-1961) remains an influential American writer and artist. He garnered early local recognition, with the support and enthusiasm of George Sterlinge. As a poet, Smith is celebrated as “The Last of the Great Romantics” and “The Bard of Auburn”. His work received high praise from his contemporaries.

Louis Aragon (1897-1982) remains a celebrated French poet, widely recognized as a leading figure in the surrealist movement in France. Alongside André Breton and Philippe Soupault, he co-founded the influential surrealist review Littérature. Notably, he was also known for his contributions as a novelist and editor, and from 1959 onwards, was regularly considered for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Alexander Sergeevich Griboyedov (1795–1829) left an enduring legacy through his timeless comedy “Woe from Wit.” His remarkable contributions as an influential figure and visionary thinker greatly shaped the course of Russian cultural advancement.
