Our rescued raven, Pacha, made a delightful discovery yesterday when he realized I was feeling unwell. He decided to stay close, either perched on the back of my chair or atop my head, bringing me little treats! I was truly amazed; who knew that ravens could care for their humans in such a heartfelt way? It’s a wonderful surprise! Meanwhile, Teash’s feathers have grown back beautifully, and she’s now embracing her flying lessons, albeit with a few charming crashes here and there.

Notre corbeau secouru, Pacha, a fait une découverte délicieuse hier lorsqu’il a réalisé que je ne me sentais pas bien. Il a décidé de rester près de moi, soit perché sur le dossier de ma chaise, soit sur ma tête, me rapportant de petites friandises ! J’étais vraiment étonnée ; qui aurait cru que les corbeaux pouvaient se soucier de leurs humains de manière si touchante ? C’est une merveilleuse surprise ! Pendant ce temps, les plumes de Teash ont bien repoussé, et elle embrasse maintenant ses leçons de vol, même si cela se traduit par quelques charmantes chutes ici et là.

Chers lecteurs et abonnés, je suis ravie de vous souhaiter à tous un fantastique Halloween ! Dans l’esprit de cette occasion festive, j’ai traduit le poème délicieux “Maisons hantées” de Henry Wadsworth Longfellow en français et ajouté des images joyeuses de nos oiseaux secourus pour égayer votre journée. Notre jeune corbeau, qui vole magnifiquement et peut se nourrir tout seul, a choisi de rester avec nous, profitant du confort de notre maison malgré la fenêtre ouverte ! J’ai essayé de lui montrer l’extérieur, de le poser sur les plantes du rebord de la fenêtre, de l’effrayer et il vole à l’intérieur, ou pire, se pose juste sur ma tête… Quant à Teash, elle n’est toujours pas prête, et c’est tout à fait normal ! Elle ne peut pas encore voler parce que Pacha a accidentellement cassé quelques plumes et elle demande quand elle a besoin de quelque chose. Ils sont séparés pour le moment, permettant aux plumes de Teash de repousser, et ce sera excitant de voir comment elle évolue pendant cette période !

Teash, notre petite corneille, est une compagne calme et belle. Elle apprécie ses moments de tranquillité, se réjouit de se tenir sur son perchoir, se prélasse au soleil ou joue dans l’eau. Lorsqu’elle se sent un peu incertaine, elle se précipite affectueusement sur mon épaule, désireuse de réconfort et de connexion.

Pacha, notre jeune corbeau, est vraiment un personnage ! Bien qu’il refuse encore de sortir, il apporte de la joie en interagissant avec tout ce qui l’entoure—des jouets au clavier de l’ordinateur ainsi qu’avec ses repas. Son dédain initial pour le miroir s’est transformé en une petite aventure hilarante, alors qu’il s’engageait joyeusement avec lui. Il adore absolument le papier, s’enfuyant souvent avec, et porter des œufs devient son petit passe-temps délicieux !

Dear readers and subscribers, I’m excited to wish you all a fantastic Halloween! In the spirit of this festive occasion, I translated the delightful poem “Haunted Houses” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow into French and added cheerful pictures of our rescued birds to brighten your day. Our young raven, who flies beautifully and can feed itself, has chosen to stay with us, enjoying the comforts of our home despite the open window! I’ve made attempts to show him outside, put him on the windowsill plants, scare him and he flies inside, or worse, just land on my head … As for Teash, she still is not ready, and that’s perfectly okay! Se can’t fly just yet because Pacha accidentally broke some feathers and she just asks when she needs something. They are separated for now, allowing her feathers to grow back, and it will be exciting to see how she evolves during this period!

Teash, our little crow, is a calm and beautiful companion. She enjoys her quiet moments, delights in standing on her perch, basking in the sun, or splashing in the water. When she’s feeling a bit uncertain, she affectionately rushes to my shoulder, eager for comfort and connection.

Pacha, our young raven, is quite the character! Although he still refuses to get out, he brings joy as he interacts with everything around him—from toys and the computer keyboard to his meals. His initial dislike for the mirror turned into a hilarious little adventure, as he playfully engaged with it. He absolutely adores paper, often sneaking off with it, and carrying around eggs becomes his delightful little pastime!
